You know what's even more stupid than not charging at home? Spending $100+ to "charge" on gas. A full "tank"in the Tesla costs about $6.50.

In a disaster you're better off with electric because if there's gas you can use a generator, if there's propane you can use a generator, if there's natural gas you can use a generator, if there's Diesel you can use a generator, if you have solar you can charge. If you have a gas car you have to hope there's gas or you're fucked.

Free supercharging hasn't been a thing since around 2015-16. Most of these cars are paying around 20 bucks.

Most Tesla owners are Chinese, and the only people so cheap they can make Jews look wasteful are Chinese. That's why every public charger with complimentary charging is permanently occupied by Chinese-owned Teslas. They'd walk ten miles and block a charger for 20 people to avoid paying $2 to charge at home.

There is a lot of untrue information about Tesla charging out there. The 40+ minute charging times are to charge to full. Most of these cars are going to charge from 30 miles left to 200-230 miles left. It takes 20-30 min to charge for that amount of time. If some of these vehicles only go to 150 you could cut that time down to 15 min. A charger this busy, will also be more than a dollar a min to charge above 80%(about 260ish on a model 3) so people won't sit the full 45 to an hour. So with 15 cars in line and 15 or 16 chargers if this is a v3 250w charger the last car is looking at around 40 min to an hour wait. If its one of the older chargers maybe a 2 hour wait as the older chargers split their charging rate between two spots.
