Well I wouldn't mind if I needed the space vs the speed or not at all. Honestly, I wouldn't care if it slowed everything to the slowest memory speed, because if I need the ram, far worse to write to a drive.

Funny enough, in most overclocking situations, memory has less than a 10% impact on overall system performance. I'm not saying there aren't use cases where that won't be the case, but I'm general for everyday users, it's not what is slowing your rig down. So all these purported benefits won't help if the chip is tied to a shit processor to begin with.
