Buy a Brother printer and improve your quality of life.

HP has been building trash products for decades. Stop feeding the assholes.

As for the "security" issue, this wouldn't be a problem if the god damn cartridges didn't have the capability to talk to the printer in the first place. Not ever tech part needs a fucking chip.
