I have a 40" hooked up to my PC that I sometimes use to watch stuff I'm stream from my PC. I never use it as an actual TV. I wanted to see if I could download the Rumble app on it. When I hit the home button I received a message stating the OS would no longer be supported and I could explore these options for a new TV. I think this is wild that a display that works fine should be replaced because the software is toast.

lol, right?

Glad I don't rely on the software, but it's crazy for people that did. The display still works fine.

*I suppose if I did, I'd probably buy a roku instead of a new TV.

Roku now advertises in app when you watch live content. It makes your content smaller, muted it then plays the ad. You miss everything from your live content when this happens.

I refuse to use them.

DNS blocks are a thing. I’ll find my list and post it.

So in addition to the ads on the live content you get more ads from Roku? That's messed up. I heard something about home screen ads, but I also heard there is a "secret menu" that can be accessed to remove them.
