I can’t level with you because you think making $30K/year in the 90s and 00s provides anything close to what I provide for my family.

Is English a 2nd language for you?

I said $30k in 1975 provided for a large family without a 2nd income n and then listed out what $30k in 1975 was in equivalent earnings in 85, 95, 05, and 2021.

In 2021, $30k from 1975 is $350k. You can't "level" with me because you can't read.

Your point doesn’t relate at all to my original comment.

Judging by both your comments I’m 100% sure you are trapped in your own mind with little care to understand how anyone else experiences this world.

My point was that today's women are not making a choice to work to provide for their family. Unless you're making good money as a sole provider, your wife will have to work to afford a family.

You suggested that you're dad only made $30k, but had a large family and you all were happy. I asked what time period was this happy family? In the late 70's early 80's, $30k was that "good money" that I was referring to. So, it was possible for your mom to stay at home and raise a family successfully.

You then said that you make 5 times what he made, have a smaller family, but because your wife works (I assume), you guys aren't as happy. I then explained that if you were growing up in the 70's and 80's, your dad's $30k was actually more than your $150k (the 5 times) today. You aren't making that "good money" to be able to have a sole earner ability. Few people do.

Our money is worthless, prices are out of control. Labor is cheap so we don't get paid like we should. Both parents have to work. It isn't a choice.
