Alex Jew is basically the OG google news reader. He doesn't make anything up, what he does is read all the boring white papers and releases by scientists, ngos and other organizations that other are too lazy to read, that info goes into his head and re-organizes it into a narrative and then someone presses a button and his mouth just shouts out the narrative as his brain sees it.

He is completely not in control of this process, he is more of a bystander. In one of his interviews he says he had a head injury when he was young and if you know these kinds of people, they change after the brain trauma. Jones, I think, is some kind of savant like creature that is just along for the ride as one part of his brain obsesses about those weird white papers and publications from ngos and on the other his other part of the brain just collects and organizes the info.

Is he used as a shill? Sure. Does he hate white people? Yes, his kids are jewish. Is he aware of theing a shill, I don't think so.

If Alex wasn't screaming at the top of his lungs about this shit, we wouldn't know about a whole lot of things.

I've never thought of AJ that way, and it's a quite realistic depiction indeed, it fits, except for the "hate white people". But the primary effect of the post is the pro-globalist headline, copied from the leftist article, which is all most people read.

Another practice that has always bugged me is fools parroting the liberal fascist talking points, under the false assumption that they are being ironic. In reality what they are doing is just repeating the liberal talking points. Personally, I always enjoyed The Complete Chronicles of Conan from Howard, as my "go to" sword and sorcery. It predates LoTR and the writing is superior.

However, if you start with the Hobbit, and go into the Lord of the Rings are still interested, there is the Silmarillion, which is a bit dense. I had a copy signed by Chris Tolkien. Sad to say, while I was on a deployment, my mother donated it to the library to exchange for a handful of romance novels.

If you liked Lord of the Rings, but aren't quite up to the Silmarillion, "The Rift War Saga" by Raymond Feist is pretty good. It's written in easy to read language and expands the Tolkien universe and explains the diaspora of the Elven races across multiple galaxies.

My position is that they are the same as well. Political labels are fairly arbitrary groupings of lists of items that no one can agree on. Literally all well funded media sites are fake news/controlled opposition. They are not allowed to exist if they are not. Look what happens to tame sites like Gab, do you imagine payment processors and government regulators would allow a media firm to operate telling the truth about the JQ?

Real news is informal these days and largely relies on the user's own wits and resourcefulness. There are small youtube channels that discuss news, current affairs and politics by talking in code and keeping some content off youtube. The best news source on youtube is imo The Duran, who offer very good conservative news commentary while cleverly avoiding censorship pitfalls. For more meta analysis of trends and political philosophy leaning much further to the right I would recommend Academic Agent and other small channels in his circle.

There are sites like Poal and Ruqqus. There are various blog-type sites like AmericanThinker. There is /pol/, if you are able to sift through all the shilling and diarrhoea there you can often find very accurate information. There are telegram/gab based amateur local journalists too small fry to be shut down.
