So I have to fill out a religious exemption for my job. One of the questions is what sincere religious beliefs do I hold that prevent me from getting the covid shot. Then they can accept it or deny it or go on to ask for more proofs. WTH.. I don't think this is right but what should I write? It's hard to see where this could go. Thanks

I wrote mine myself, and while I won't just copy/paste it here, I'll at least tell you what I used. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. First I started with being created in God's image, with my DNA being His signature. I cited Genesis 1:26,27, John 1:3, Jeremiah 1:4,5 for these. Then I went on to say as a born again believer I am not my own, am indwelt by His Spirit, etc.: 1Corinthians 6:19,20, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 3:16,17, Galatians 1:15. After that I used the fact that I am pro-life and against things derived from aborted children, that life is precious, and given to us by our Creator: Genesis 9:5,6, Exodus 20:13, Proverbs 6:16-19, Hebrews 10:26,27. I also happen to be a Sabbath keeper, and abide by the dietary laws of the OT, but I didn't specify which dietary laws, so there's some variation there that covers the occasional bacon or pepperoni. I reiterated that to take these shots that have been derived as a result of experimentation using aborted fetuses would be a sin since life begins at conception in the womb: Genesis 9:5,6, Exodus 20:13, James 4:17, Psalm 139:13-16, Job 10:11. Being born again, new creation, and haven't had any vaccines since then: 2 Corinthians 5:17. And I finished with stating that I would not take this vaccine no matter the cost, Matthew 10:28. And Psalm 139 has a lot in it all by itself.

Again, maybe you find this helpful, maybe you don't. Either way, I hope you get the exemption. Mine, as well as everyone else at my job's, is still on hold at the moment, but there has been no explanation why. I think at best, this will be a temporary fix, as I can't see them allowing this to derail their global agenda.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your very thought out and well stated suggestions. I will do my best to use what I can of your example. This feels like persecution. If you remember, please get back to me if it was accepted or not. Thanks.

I can finally mark this one as read. I got notification a few weeks ago from someone in HR, but nothing in writing. Today was the deadline for us to either take the shot, or claim a religious or medical exemption, with failure to do so resulting in unpaid administrative leave. Well, today has come and gone, and so far, no notice that I am either on administrative leave, or instructions to not show up for work tomorrow.

Hang tough, this will end one way or another.

We are unironically in this together. If we all stick to.our gins and stand unwavering it will make waves in the outcomes of companies and businesses. Sink or swim for them. I'm standing strong too. Let me know what happens and I will as well. 1 job of mine accepted the religious exemption and my other one is pending . Both are severely short staffed. Hopefully this works in our favor.

Do you have the source for the aborted fetus? I'd like to use it as well.

It does state moderna and Pfizer don’t use the aborted fetal cell genes though, I could see the employer not accepting that reason for a blanket exemption.
