“This is about following the money. This is about stopping the financing of the illegal blockades,” Deputy PM Christia Freeland added.
“Consider yourself warned. If your truck is being used in these illegal blockades, your corporate accounts will be frozen, the insurance on your vehicle will be suspended. Send your rigs home,” she said, adding that the government’s powers would include cracking down on crowdfunding sites, making them register with the government and freezing the assets of those involved in helping to fund the protests.
Question: So, if the truckers don't go home, and they put all the truckers out of business, who do they think is going to deliver the groceries?
Trade delay tactics. These include an ad hoc arrangment of various “incidents” to create a “perfect storm” or situation whereas trade comes to a standstill. Strikes, blockages in canals, pricing, inflation, pandemic rules, price of gas, all of these manipulations are intentionally trying to slow down the American economy (and the economies of its serrogates) to stretch out and lengthen the time to fully implement the grand strategy.

Ah. I see. And people not having any food to eat, or being able to feed their kids is going to convince everyone of just how wrong they've been and they will suddenly love the government again. Got it.
All politics is local politics. This is how politicians end up spending their last few minutes looking down at the pavement between their feet, in a slowly swinging arc, about three feet down.
Bingo. The truckers could protest from their own home. As long has shit isn't being moved, the machine will be hindered and eventually grind to a halt.
It's actually just a small minority of truckers protesting. Goods are still being delivered. Sure, the industry is already short drivers, so it is a strain, but it's not like the vast majority are striking.
The optics are much, much better when the truckers are in a large group in front of parliament.
I suspect they'd nationalize those industries.
Uh-huh. Because that always works out so well. See: Venezuela.
How exactly do you "nationalize" people's individual efforts? How do you "nationalize" a guy who's decided to say "Fuck you all" and sit at home on the couch? How do you "nationalize" his truck, which is currently sitting out in the driveway with some "transmission problems". Do you think that the Canadian government possesses the transportation capacity to feed millions of Canadians if the trucks stop? Because I can tell you right now, they don't. They are about to find out what real "logistical problems" look like. The way the Germans did on the Eastern Front.
