Even if you are really fat and feel hopeless, you are not hopeless. You can chip away at it by doing a simple weight lifting routine. Don't even worry about cardio to start. Don't even worry about changing your diet to start.

It's this simple: get a barbell and some weight plates and do curls and overhead presses. Do 5 sets of 10 reps to start. Do this every other day until you can handle it 6 days a week.

This routine will be your spark. Once you feel yourself getting stronger and putting on muscle you will develop a natural desire to expand your workout. You will start to look forward to it.

It's this simple! Just train yourself to be consistent and you will notice a beautiful natural progression to a more complex routine.

Even if you are really fat you can pack on muscle and become very strong. Don't tell yourself you're doing it to lose weight, you're doing it to put on muscle. Make no mistake though weight will come off.

This is such a small time commitment each day and it will have a giant positive effect on all aspects of your life.

I have found one of the biggest mistakes beginners make is trying to overcomplicate their work out. It's easy to become dissuaded when you do that. Start super simple because all you're trying to do in the beginning is establish consistency.

When you see those biceps forming and getting ripped you will be hooked. Beginners make really fast progress, you'll love it.

True. You just need to do something to start. Action first, then motivation will follow. Seeing and feeling even a small change in yourself will motivate you to keep going and hit it harder as time goes on. Do it! You deserve it! Physical fitness will also work wonders with your mental health. Body-mind-spirit.

My gyms on lockdown and I can't find any weights in the stores. I just started lifting logs and doing push-ups in the park.

Go on Craigslist you can find them easily

Logs are for pussies. Should be lifting trees, faggot.

I kid. Good thinking outside of the box.

i use to use those old iron wieghs that were added to the back of machinery to wiegh the ass end down. So I guess that would be like a kettle bell

they were like 50 lbs a piece

Whatever a person can use is perfect!

I tried to start lifting once and over did it. The next two days I was in such pain I was basically an invalid. Holy shit that hurts if you aren't used to the muscle stress.

Everybody goes to that, it's not unique to you. You wait a few days until your muscles feel a little better and you keep going. Expect to be sore, it's normal. Sometimes you get really sore when you first start

Moved to a different because it's open for business. Haven't worked out in about 3/4 of a year. Joined the gym two days ago. I took it pretty easy and a day later, over night, I can feel the pain. Should have popped a protien/Creatine, vitamin pill. Helps heal quicker and better if everything needed for healing is plentiful in the blood stream.

Your body just needs to adjust again but it will happen quickly.

Input on ten pounds last year and the scale said it was still there, feeling skinny though. Prolly some fat but that will strip away quick and I'll have to watch my diet better again to keep my energy levels up.

Maybe I'll put on ten more this year.
