Of the 3 macros, carbs are 100% unnecessary to life as a distinct piece of nutrition as carbs can be created in the body from both of fat and protein. I was simply being a pedant.

If you care about fitness avoid pasta generally. Way too high fat. Eat white rice. One of the exceptionally few things that gets healthier with processing. (removal of shell from brown to white rice)

Bro, there is nothing wrong with eating pizza and pasta. They are great foods pre workout. Also, if you aren't eating carbs the body does not make carbs to fuel itself, it makes carbs to fuel certain organs and processes, like the heart, but it is not what fuels the metabolism(brain and muscles). Fats which are conveted to ketoens are used as fuel when carbs aren't present.

Carbs are the superior fuel for high intensity activities, but if you really doubt it just try getting into ketosis and lift some weights, then go back on carbs and you'll notice the difference right away. Carbs are not necessary for survival, but it is the best fuel for high performance, 99.999% of athletes agree.

Also I would avoid running. The impact will ruin your leg, hip, and foot joints over time. Get a bike, use the bike.
