We are a genocide species. We have no natural predators. When our common ancestors effectively exited being prey animals and started dominating their local geographies through highly networked highly intelligent and highly aggressive organized tribes, our biggest threats became other groups of humans. Simultaneously, our easiest access to resources and females became other human groups. If you were smart enough to only kill the leaders and enslave the rest you were way better off than other tribes, but you had to get your economics right because you could not have enough slaves that could overthrow your tribe. We split off from our common ancestor shared with gorillas many many millions of years before we split off form chimps. Men watch ritualized sports warfare practices so they can examine strategy and then discuss war strategy after the ritualized warfare games. Men have entire parts of our brains dedicated to these behaviors. And what is the purpose of warfare? We haven't been prey animals for at least 50 million years, you don't need to practice warfare against llamas or any animal, we are way smarter than any other species on the planet.
