Yeah, I let 'em know. I guess TeamSpeak is changing licensing models and a number of hosts are being pushed out, with the very next update killing access to the server. They're looking for alternatives.

Wow, teamspeak has been a staple forever in the voice chat world. I'm surprised they would push people away with a change like that.

There's surprisingly little uproar. It looks like they want to do their own hosting and that they'll be keeping some of their larger authorized reseller, but all the little hosts are being pushed out. There won't be any more inexpensive TS servers offered by third parties.

That's my understanding, at any rate. I don't actually game, or even make a habit out of chatting with people.

I've never been much for multiplayer gaming so I haven't used team speak but if what you say is correct, this will be an interesting shift in online multiplayer gaming and I'd bet you will see some company step up and fill the void.
