I'll get the courage soon, maybe even today who knows. If I'm going to record something, I'd like it to be something that at least sounds like something not just noise.
You don't have to share it. In a few years, it'll be a great reminder of your progress. ;-)
I wouldn't type all this stuff out, if I didn't think you were actually going to stick with it. I am not fond of futility.
Oh I will stick with it, there isn't any question about that anymore, I'm committed. I'm just not very good. I think I should be better than I am at this point but I know that it'll just take practice, I don't do many things that I don't have a natural ability to do, this is just one of those things I'm not gifted at so it'll just take more practice.
I'm not sure if this is going to help...
I don't expect you to be very good. It's definitely not as easy without direct teaching in a setting where you can ask questions, slow down, and be exposed to other students. You're gonna suck - for quite a while. That has a lot to do with why I often suggest people have fun. It keeps them interested.
Very few people have a natural ability to just pick up a guitar and learn it quickly. Most of us, myself included, put in a fuckton of hours.
