Yeah, you guys were going in excess of 100 mph when you left the road, weren't you?
Those companies sure are Keen on collecting the dues on time but seem to drag their feet when they have to pay out a claim in the hopes that the victim needs the money now and accepts less than they deserve
Around 120 mph according to the investigation. The car had a black box that snitches you out after an accident. So, the number is probably pretty accurate.
They actually want to settle with me. They've been trying to settle since about 2 weeks after the accident. I've cost 'em about 1.3 mil at this point. It's another 2k every month - just for my prescriptions. That's more than some people make working at their jobs.
That's way more than I make!
LOL The insurance company would love to cut me off and give me a chunk of cash to go away.
But, I'm very different than what they expected.
See, I'm not in a rush for the insurance payout. I don't actually need their money. I am in no rush to settle. I'm happier having them pay for my medical expenses. I have zero need for an insurance payout.
They're not used to that. They're used to people who want the insurance payout and want it quickly. They tossed low numbers at me for a while and then they started throwing larger numbers. They've offered me seven figures after removing the medical costs that they've already covered. I sent the letter to my lawyer and told him to tell them that wasn't enough.
