For the most part they leave me alone too. They didn't even stop to talk when I hollered fuck off at them!

I am grateful that they leave me alone too. I am still mad at them for entering my house without my permission that one night when I went to jail a year and a half ago

I don't think I've ever had an uninvited cop in my house.

I was in the other building behind the house and she called me and said cops were here and they wanted to talk to me and when i came in the back door there was six of them inside my house. I really don't think she had the legal authority to allow them to enter my house. I am not a lawyer so I don't know for sure. But it sure pissed me off. Then they searched me, in my own home!

A pat-down (including reaching into pockets) is perfectly legal. As she was staying there, she had authority to let them in. Even if she didn't, the cops had 'reasonable cause' to believe she had the authority to let them in.

So, you'd get jack shit in a civil case against them and they broke no laws.

Shit sucks, but that's the way it is.
