I made it a point to always be very involved in my sons lives. My daughter was a different circumstance
Man, the things I learned to be with my kids... I always took an interest, including learning about ballet and even how to do some of the moves, just to spend time with my daughter. I've even tried skateboarding (at an older age) on a half pipe. I did alright, too. Back in the 70s we used to skateboard in pools while I was out in California.
I took my kids to the skate parks many times but I never got on one myself. I am pretty sure it would end with me being injured if I tried
I skated when I was younger and had quite a bit of practice before I got on the ramp.
I can't do it with my hip these days, but I used to be able to pull off a kickflip and could olie over a milk crate without any issues. That was as an adult in his late 40s and early 50s. I'm pretty fit, actually.
Well, no... I'm a little chubby at the moment. I'll burn that off back in Maine.
