I was kinda hoping for a 'Verle got caught in the hail' story, but oh well...
a tornado was spotted not too far away
Verle did not get caught in the hail storm. We've been having thunderstorms here for the last three or four days in a row and Verle likes to sit on the front porch watching the storm from under the protection of the roof. I've got a real nice front porch for hanging out on. Anyways he was yelling at the lighting, just hooting and hollering at it every time a storm rolls through.
I dont remember if I told you that night he came back here last Friday when he got out of my car he was standing in the way of me opening the back door to get his bags out of the car so i told him move over a little bit and gave him a slight gentle nudge in the direction I wanted him to move, and he fell backwards down into the ditch. That was hilarious.
Well, he got out of the way. So, there's that.
We don't get big tornadoes here - though we do get them every once in a while. They're much smaller.
COF is not dead. With fortuitous timing, he just replied to a PM.
There has never been a tornado recorded to have touched ground in the area I live in all recorded history here since the early 1800's. They do touch down somewhere every year 15 miles away and further. I think it has something to do with the large bodies of water very near by. I did see a water spout once. That was neat
