Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

You have a lot of data saved in there that you need?

No, not really. It's not lots of data, it's things like settings. On any given day, I have 50 tabs open - and those tabs are all used and are opened by default.

I have a dozen email accounts, all with special settings, so I have to transfer all the settings and shit like that.

Big data isn't even stored on my devices. That's all stored to a central server (ideally, and as a general rule).

Thats what I thought, I remember you telling me that you had central storage so I was wondering why it would be a pain, but now I know

I have a few browsers, each with their own tasks, a lot of 'em logged into various accounts.

Fortunately, I can usually copy over the files stored in the .config folder and maintain my settings and all that shit, like all my FTP accounts to manage the dozens of servers I rent/own.

I could have just copied the hard drive, but I wanted to use Linux Mint for a while - at least on this device. Linux is awesome like that. I can literally take the hard drive out of the old computer and plop it into this one - and have a reasonable expectation that it will work completely fine with no intervention needed on my behalf.

But, I wanted to switch to a new distro for this device. I have enough devices with Lubuntu on them.
