LOL I know! That was my point! The fuckers used to get huge. They'd get huge again if we stopped fishing and prevented poaching.

I believe most sturgeon are farmed these days, as part of the caviar market.

They must not really ever stop growing as they age

Probably not - at least not for a long time. Lobsters are like that, as well. They'll keep growing and live for decades. Sadly, the giant ones are mostly gone due to putting too much pressure on the fisheries.
