Also, AMG is lying to the press. They're now saying they're not delivering until 2022 now, due to 'unexpected delays' and 'manufacturing difficulty'. However, I have it on good authority that at least three have been delivered. I suspect all three had problems and that's why AMG pushed out that announcement at the end of last week. I thought about contacting the automotive press to say that they were not being completely honest. I decided I just don't care that much.
Meh... They're an automotive company. Lying is what they do. I know, with reasonably certainty, that at least three were delivered. I suspect that all three had issues, or something of that nature. They're also not manufacturing them by the numbers - which does make some sense. You find the most similar and group them together in the manufacturing process. The similitude makes it faster and more efficient.
So, I won't get my AMG ONE for a while.
I should just copy and paste that for Crazy. That'd save some time!
I dont think the press really cares about being honest anymore. It seems to me
I'm not sure that they ever really did. "Yellow journalism" has a long, long history.
Hell, even the oldest history books are full of inaccuracies, obviously intentionally done to please the people who commissioned said works.
Pretty much everything you probably 'know' about Caligula (for an ancient example) was written about him a couple hundred years later and no real contemporary evidence exists for many of the claims. The claims are largely accepted as fact, even though the writing we rely on for it was done at the behest of people who wanted to strengthen the Roman Senate over the powers of the Emperor.
Truth has always been fleeting.
That's funny.
