My 'new' cell phone is still pretty old. I carry two phones, depending. Well, I sometimes carry three phones. But, if I'm carrying that phone I probably only have one other phone on me. The third phone is a satellite phone. If I'm traveling off grid, I'll take that with me.

The hotel sent the room a message (we have tablets that control stuff and let us order from downstairs and shit like that) letting me know that we may have some internet issues over the next week.

They must be doing some kind of work on the network to know that they might have problems in the future

Yeah, they're doing some work. They did not deem me important enough to tell what work they're having done. I suspect the message wasn't sent to 'me', but was sent to everyone - even if they're signing out tomorrow.

So, I could probably go find out what they're doing. They gave it a full week, so it must be something big.

It would have to be something really big if they expect it to take a whole week. Possibly upgrading all the access points
