Yeah, I mean, it's in fine condition, it
When you were listening to music the other night did you get a chance to listen to the new Primus song? I like the way it sounds.
I did talk to some folks in some Jaguar groups I am in and they said the fact that I was at idle and it only ran for a few seconds most likely means that its probably just a couple exhaust valves. One of them said just to replace the timing chains and see if it runs before I pull the head. That engine the timing is set by locking the cams in place top dead center with a special tool when you replace the chains.
LOL Look at the size of those rear doors. It shows you who the important people are - the people you're driving around that sit in the back.
I'm not a huge Primus fan, but I've heard some of their newer stuff.
And, I'm pretty sure I suggested that already - just toss on a new chain/belt and see if it turns over. And, that's a pretty fancy way to set the timing.
There is absolutely no way at all to advance or retard the timing. Thats fucked up. But I guess the computer does it
Yeah, the ECU adjusts it on the fly - but not if it's too far out. I've just never heard of needing a special tool to do all this.
I could just be out of touch. I haven't done timing in anything all that modern.
