I hope it (the expensive guitar from Martin) looks better in person than it does in pictures. But, even if it doesn't, it's very likely to only increase in value. The kind of people who buy stuff like that are mostly interested in maintaining the value and increasing its worth.
As for guitar straps, there's no fucking way that I'm spending $200 on a guitar strap. Nope... I may spend a bit, like $50, on one if I like it and if I'll be using it for performances. Other than that, I'm pretty much like you - except I spend more than a buck. I pay more like $15. 'cause I like it to have some padding.
Oh, remember the luthier on YouTube? He'd like your snake guitar. He likes it when people personalize their guitars in artistic ways.
Finally, today is Friday. I did the past couple of threads. If you can get the thread, that'd be awesome. If not, that'd be slightly less awesome and I'll get it myself.
I can get the thread.
I wouldn't even want to play that Martin, what if I scratched it?
I can get the thread.
Good and thank you. This Chantix, technically generic, is fucking with my stomach. It feels like I smoked a dozen cigarettes at once.
what if I scratched it?
I suspect minor wear isn't going to impact the value much. If you legit scratch it beyond wear from playing, I suspect Martin will fix it for you free of charge - at least for a while. I've sent a few guitars back to Martin over the years - always contacting them first, and they've never charged me - even when they replaced one with a newer model (which I wasn't all that happy about).
Otherwise, any luthier on the planet would love to work on it - but you'd be wise to find the best of the best to repair it. You don't want a shitty repair job done, 'cause that'll definitely lower the value.
If you can afford to buy one of these, you can afford a repair job from the best luthier on the planet.
Hmm... If you buy two of them and smash one of them, your other one will be worth more money! (Please do not do this. No, it will not increase to 2x the value, at least not for some years.)
I am not going to buy one, and I am definitely not going to buy two of them and smash one of them!
