Definitely not. There is a hill that is called a mountain about 90 miles away but its only like 700 feet higher elevation than the surrounding landscape. I am not sure if that is a mountain, but they call it a mountain.

I think I recall reading something about how it had to be a mile high to be considered a mountain - but they call where I live 'the mountains' and nothing here is much higher than 3800 to 4200 feet. A quick Google tells me it must be 300 meters above the surrounding area.

300 meters is more than 900', so that's probably not technically a mountain.

I don't think it is a mountain though it does rise above the surrounding landscape quite formidably.
