Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

The only thing close to that I see is "Beam: 35".

Mine's not really all that south. That's why there was a delay in hooking it up. Where I wanted the dish didn't have a really good southern exposure. So, they had to put me on 19 - which is more straight up than the one they wanted to put me on. Alas, the dude's software had just got an update and it wouldn't let him select 19, so he had to come out the following day after they fixed the software.

I would think more straight up would be better than further to the south

As you can see with the elevation angle, it's not on the horizon like the one they wanted to stick me on.

By the way, the dude was a private installer. He did other systems as well, not just HughesNet. For better or worse, he was driving a fairly modern truck that looked to be in good condition. So, he must be doing well enough financially. I'd say it was in the 40k (when new) region. Probably 25 used. It looked to be around a 2015 Ford F150. Maybe 2016.

So, if he can afford that, he must be making acceptable money.

I was really impressed that he invested like 4 hours the first day. That was because of the software issue and them wanting to put me on a different satellite.

I think he might have said '22' for the other satellite. I'm not positive, so don't quote me on it.

It's been years since I did satellite dish installations but back when I was doing that stuff the independent installers would get residual payments every month for every new customer that they brought online and installed. If you can get a lot of people to switch over and they keep the service you get extra money. I didn't do that cause I really do not like selling shit to people
