Damn it. I should have asked him if that was necessary when I got to talk with him and God and his mother Mary at the fireworks show that one time!
It's getting closer and closer. I can feel it. I'm eventually going to end up building my own guitar(s). It's gonna happen.
I hope not... My guitar will likely suck as I have no formal education in building - just some ideas. It will also take up a huge amount of my time. I don't have much free time. This would mean I had even less - especially if I wanted other people to experience my guitars (selling them).
Given how much I value my time, they're likely to be $20k+ by the time I'm done with 'em...
Ah well... Hopefully I stop at just one.
Build me one, make two at once, a practise one you do the tasks on first then a second of the same kind to use your experience on
The fundies say it is - pretty much universally in the Christian faith.
Hell, Christianity is only as popular as it is because it encompasses a bunch of other religions. Catholic, Protestant, Seventh Day Advents, Methodists, Baptists, Unitarian, etc... Those are all Christian. To be a Christian faith, the only thing that's required is to believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God.
Split those into how they practice and the rest of their beliefs, and they're no longer dominant. Same with Islam, where there are three or four different sects.
I'm pretty sure if you did all that, Hinduism would end up the most popular religion. I don't think they have a heaven or hell, at least not in the sense Christians do. I'm not really sure. I just know some of the many gods they worship and that's about the extent of my knowledge.
I don't subscribe to any known religion, I made up my own
StewMac make some of the best luthier tools in the industry. They also make some of the only tools in the industry.
They also know this. They are not dumb. So, they charge accordingly. However, as awesome as this is, I refuse to pay that much for it. I can make it without the tool just fine. I'm unwilling to pay that markup. It's worth like $25 - at best.
I still want it.
That is outrageous for what it is!
I adhere to much of the Buddhist philosophy, but prefer science for the deeper questions.
I'd likely make one or two prototypes, each by themselves, and then replicate them in 'bulk' of several guitars at once for efficiency sake.
I built all the cabinets for my house, actually. I've got a whole wood shop available.
And, yes... It's some metal with a few patches of industrial diamonds - cut to something like 0.05" accuracy. I ain't paying $125 for that. No fucking way. Can I afford it? Yup... However, I can afford it 'cause I don't do stupid shit like paying $125 for something worth $25!
