Just hire a guy to stand guard there and operate the gate

If I can buy a system for $20,000, that's a lot cheaper than hiring some fucker to stand there.

I'd have to build 'em a heated shack, 'cause they'd straight up freeze. Then, I'd have to have two shifts of people to cover from 08:00 to 20:00. So, I'd have to hire at least two people, plus pay their benefits, and add them to unemployment insurance, etc...

Fuck that...

Besides, it'd mean I have to deal with two more people. I like employing people, but not like that!

I'll just go without until some fucker makes what I want. I'm half tempted to hire someone to do it, but then it might balloon into absurd rates and at the end of the day I wouldn't own the system - meaning they could just go off and do it for others. If I'm doing that, I want to own the work - meaning I paid them for their creation and now I own it. Then I can market the system to others (or, more accurately, sell the rights to market it to others). I'm not gonna do the marketing myself.
