Thanks! And, just so you know, I'm pretty sure that bass only had 4 strings. I'm pretty sure it was a P Bass. Pretty sure... We're still not 100% sure where it came from. I assume it was recorded while inebriated and otherwise mentally occupied.
i never learned 5,6,7 bass so dont even know how use them. i'd love to have a low action 24fret 6 string bass acoustic with combo pickups for electric mode and i'd be willing to learn. i record mostly in c but tonight was standard. im going record tomorrow after string change going try ddarigo 100-45 prolly usual b or c standard on guitar as well and go for some heavy play then some blues. ill also go for some more consistent bass lines through out. i must find a way to hear guitar will recording bass line so i can keep rhythm. lol i kind of fell off track and went bass vs guitar lmmfao like a 1983 dave mustane vs cliff burton battle on stage where cliff got raged at dave and cranked bass to 15 and played huge solo and theres a recording on youtube i beleive of it maybe youtube. if ya find it link it so epic
If you start as a guitar player, it's not too hard to transition to five or six string bass guitars.
Speaking of which, I've been enjoying a Fodera Monarch that's a 4 string fretless. I love a fretless bass. If you're going to get an acoustic bass, consider getting one that's fretless and with a decent fretboard radius.
i'd be ok with a sweet acoustic bass fretless with a builtin pickup. thugh i do wanna try a 6 strong out. i aint nearly the best but i'd enjoy it though lol and bug you guys with it on fridays i can post.
