And a ham and all the fixings... It's over now.

We held it today so that guests could have their own holiday on the holiday itself. It wasn't that large, just 27 people total - and not all here for the whole time.

I'm fucking tired and sore.

We did get some snow, but it didn't really add up to anything. It just turned the lawn more white. We still have the snow we got the other day. I'm inclined to think that there's a chance that we'll have that snow for the rest of the season. It cooled down quick.

LOL That's not even remotely as many as I have had before. I only made one turkey and one ham for this one. Well, it was more a chunk of pig that included the ham hock.

You should see what happens at Christmas. I'll have as many as a couple hundred people roll through starting on Christmas Eve. I give out pre-paid debit cards and a giant spaghetti feast. I'll make 15 qts of sauce and sometimes need to make more. Kids get extra.

I do this every year. Even when I'm not here, I had my son and his friend drive around and deliver the cards.

The amusing thing is I kinda hate the holiday season. I'm a Buddhist so they don't really hold special meaning as holidays. They do make it so that I can see friends and family. They do make it so that I can share. I value the days because of that, not because they're some day on a calendar.
