Damned right.
And, to further my point, you'll be having more fun then!
If you want, and you can do this at like 60 mph if you know what you're doing...
Get in the right gear to match peak torque. Steer hard right briefly. Steer hard left briefly. Steer hard right briefly. Pump the clutch (if you can). Steer left again, but not as hard. Stomp on the gas pedal as you feel the weight shift. Balance the throttle with the steering. Crawl sideways down the interstate while staying around the speed limit and mostly in your lane.
The more you practice, the longer you can hold it in the sideways-crawling position.
See? Driving tips from TheBuddha!
You want me drifting down the highway!?!
Damned right.
You should practice at slower speeds and work your way up to it. On a good day, I can keep it going around corners. So, I can start at one end of the main street through the village, go around the really sharp corner, and keep it going until I get to the residential zone all the way down at the end of the straight section.
We're going to need some more tires!
