Disney fucked the movies and made them PC Garbage. The three prequels are 5000% better than the Disney shit.
I grew up with the prequels, so they have a special place in my heart, regardless of how terrible the dialogue is or how wooden the acting is. The prequels really lay the foundation for everything that comes after too.

The prequels are dope. It was just poor direction on Lucas' part. He dwelled too long on the politics. And he made it so that normally good actors acted wooden and delivered their lines in monotone voices, like in a stage play. But, the concept was solid. The prequels laid the groundwork for everything that came after. They really opened up the universe.
They new they had a massive and loyal die hard fan base, so they thought they could so no wrong. The jewish propaganda machine went into full effect and death to Luke was the motto. Star Wars has always sucked. It's a Western in space. Star Trek at least tried to get some of the science right, or to make it plausible. The Star Trek communicator became out cell phones. What original concept has Star Wars ever predicted that came to be?
