Required email, phone number, Photo ID, and clearly identifiable picture of oneself. None of those things were red flags?

[–] 12 pts

what about the anal print?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

Wouldn't be surprised

[–] 3 pts

Wow, gives a whole new meaning to the term honey pot, doesn’t it?

[–] 1 pt

yeah, that too altho i'm sure many were happy to comply.

[–] 0 pt

They probably moan when they scrub off the ink.

[–] 7 pts

Bullshit. I gave them an email address and that was it.

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

But falsely slandering sites is more fun... look at how Gab has been slandered.

[–] 3 pts

I went to join last night, and they tried to force a phone number. I don't even own a stupidphone in the first place-- I run a real computer. Guess no Parler for me.

[–] 1 pt

I haven't made an account, but aren't you severely limited in what you can do until you start verifying your identity?

[–] 1 pt

can't post pictures that's about it

[–] [deleted] 5 pts (edited )

No ID was required. Who cares anyway? Thanks to Hussein, the feds have been uploading our medical records since 2010 any other "doxing" is weak shit next to that.

That's what they wanted to get the privileges and cool flare of being "verified".

[–] 3 pts

They were for me, that's for damned sure. It was so obviously a honeypot that I'm disappointed that so many people fell for it.

[–] 3 pts

Funny how a Zion Don supporting QTard Israeli firster could end up on the same list as us.

[–] 1 pt

Mercer family started it because they wanted the data for their AI, Cambridge Analytica.

Data can be retrieved with API calls from paying customers by any big tech site. This is far from the only instance.

[–] 16 pts

Another reason not to use Amazon cloud services - a social warrior admin leaks all your stuff because he thinks he helps to fight Nazis.

[–] 1 pt

Pretty sure it was a three letter agency that hacked the data

[–] 4 pts

Amazon is a CIA cutout, started with stolen military logistics software and money from the drugs and weapons business. They can access the data anytime without having to ask. But they wouldn't leak the data.

[–] 0 pt

reporting the data was hacked gives them a free out for using that data though.

Why the Fuck do you say shit like this with zero proof? Stop watching the idiot box. Some of you idiots forget us older people WORKED with these companies in the startup phases. Either you have the memory of a goldfish OR you're full of shit. Some other fuckstit tried to say Zuckerberg was a CIA plant in tech.

Nooooooo. Let's hash this out. Do the Three Letter Agencies have ties? YOU BET. Were they startups? No fucking way. Not even close. American is Dramatically different than it was 25 years ago. Now Maybe some of the users are still younger, no. Silicon valley was much much different than it was 10 years ago.

When I worked in the valley it was a caste system, Top Super Geeks at the top and plebs below. No one with a brain believes the CIA is behind Amazon. The CIA handles Only international crimes against the state. Starts wars and clandestine shit on shitskins and brown people.

The FBI, this fags (reading now) are interested in domestic, i.e. Parler users.

So please. Let us help you but stop with the stupid Q larp bullshit because we were young once and learned.

many people said at the beginning parler was a honey trap... maybe it was the biggest one ever. all the cohencidences are lining up.

[–] 2 pts

Parler is a real name communication channel, so nobody should have used it to spread illegal material anyway. It's different with Gab, Voat or Poal, where anonymous communication is the main feature.

[–] [deleted] 7 pts

when all the alt right kikes simultaneously started shilling it i had a look and saw it required a phone number to register and i said BYE SHLOMO!

[–] 1 pt

You can use Parler to make public announcements and you don't want other people to do announcements in your name, this is why identification and anti-trolling technics are needed. There are other channels to do the anonymous stuff.

Didn't the guy behind it have a Jewish-sounding name?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

yep and the logo looks like the israeli shekel symbol

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Damn your Jew-spotting skills are on point. It seems like this was a feature not a bug.

[–] 0 pt

Dan Bongino? Don't know ...

Matze was his surname. Does that not sound Jewish?

[–] 1 pt

I mean it was so blatantly obvious that I can't believe anyone fell for it. Needing identifying information (phone number at a minimum) on a (supposedly) dissident site? C'mon, anyone whose been around the dissident right for any time whatsoever knows that we're public enemy number one to the (((Establishment))).

Then again it was mostly aimed at neocons who were scared of Gab so I guess it's not that surprising that that crowd did a stupid.

[–] 0 pt

It was pretty obvious from the get-go, they were branding themselves as the "conservative social media" platform. That's just a magnet for leftists, unsurprisingly it didn't take long until something like this happened.

Chances are the site will continue to get hacked until either Parler spends exorbitant amounts of money on cyber security measures, or people just leave. But stupid users will continue to doxx themselves and it will be flooded by leftists anyway, that's what happens with most sites that act like Parler does anyway.

parler is no more

[–] 0 pt

That lasted long. Trump should've picked Gab instead, much better choice than Parler IMO.

Or he could be smart and use his money to start his own service, not much to lose for a man with his wealth.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Gotta do everything to discredit alt-tech sites

https://archive.vn/mIwIW

[–] 1 pt

That link is dead for me but I expected this today from the zio-media and agree with your comment.

It's just an archive of OP's post

If you cannot access archive.vn then your ISP may be blocking it's domains. If you get an error like "Host name could not be resolved", your ISP is blocking archive.is domains.

Do this as a workaround: https://poal.co/s/AskPoal/224966/08be9b13-f642-461e-ad66-8938036c1aa7#cmnts

[–] 1 pt

I had left it open in a different browser (Brave, because sometimes pages don't load correctly in my main browser) and it loaded. Not sure if it was on my end or theirs. Thanks for the link, OP should have used that for their submission IMO.

[–] 0 pt

I can get to archive.vn. That specific page loads, but it's just a spinner that never stops.

>Security researchers claim that the scrapped posts are linked to accounts that posted them, and some of the video and image data have geolocation information. That is said also to include data from Parler’s “Verified Citizens,” users of the network who verified their identity by uploading photographs of government-issued IDs, such as a driver’s license.

Shit!!! I'm glad I never signed up on parlor. Bet you money, that there will a lot of people who have no felonies. That will try to buy a firearm in the future and get denied.

It will be something to watch for in media.

Just to see if there is fallout from this.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Its not really leaked when someone is getting paid for the data.

Now everyone is going to know your first kiss, where your mother was born and the name of your first pet...

[–] 1 pt

leaked

No. That doesn't happen. They gave it out.

[–] 1 pt

probably fake fucking news since the communist jews are fighting the other cabal of jews right now.

[–] 0 pt

CodeMonkeyZ tried and tried and tried to warn them that the site was insecure (both privately, then publicly). Dan Bongino was diligent in replying to him with insults.

[–] 0 pt

Parler was a gigantic honeypot.
