Scope creep will happen as once they filter porn, next it will be "misinformation".
It also won't work. Porn has been banned in Russia for a long time.. they ended up becoming one of the most major producers.
Media is not like a normal good. Supply and demand don't naturally coordinate, because you can usually get it for free. Risk for non-payers has to exist to motivate anyone to pay. That's what copyright does. A media prohibition also applies risk to non-payers.. so they similarly to copyright are now willing to pay. They just do it in a black market sense. This means you actually end up with more production, and possibly more consumption as there is more to consume.
Pornography was about to implode on itself because the courts are practically not enforcing copyright for it and the production is saturated, and every revenue scheme for it fails. Economically ignorant prohibitions on media is how you end up keeping an about to implode media industry surviving.
If you really want to kill pornography you make it very slightly illegal everywhere so that it doesn't get copyright protection, then you don't enforce that law, and all revenue efforts fail after a few years. No more production. Eventually the majority of already made content becomes memory holed in 10 years.

Nope, that's been completely disproven. I can download pretty much any movie I want in top quality without paying a cent. According to your theory the movie industry should be dead, in fact it should have died decades ago. Instead people are still paying for movies and the industry is doing just fine, expanding in fact.
In addition people have shown they're perfectly willing to fund projects through things like patreon and kickstarter, even when they don't receive any physical media in return and even (in some cases) to help develop a product which might never exist.
The main purpose copyright currently serves is to suppress competition. Media megacorps have given up suing individual torrenters, the only people they bother suing anymore is anyone producing derivative works or original creative work they consider "too similar." Copyright allows them to stake out a huge field of creative ideas and declare a monopoly. Eventually it'll get to the point where any story you can possibly tell will have a jew sitting on it saying "I own this."

Even if the porn industry died (I doubt it) it wouldn't matter: The internet is already saturated with women producing porn for free. The current value proposition of porn stars isn't taking their clothes off, it's pretending to be in a relationship with their johns and making them feel valued, hence the rise of things like onlyfans. Some of them don't even produce anything recognisable as porn.

See above. Anything and everything produced by any major porn company is available for free. They can't stop it, copyright laws haven't stopped it. Despite that, they're still going.
It's true, you can download just about any Hollywood movie but your average boomer couldn't figure this out. Streaming a movie from a website or app makes access 100x easier.
Every Hollywood movie streaming website is taken down within a few weeks, sometimes they're lucky they'll get a few months. Why? Because the ease of free accessibility is what would kill it.
For porn, you can stream a large catalog free & conveniently, however, most of these companies release teaser >10min videos on those free porn streaming sites to hook in customers. For the newer content and onlyfans type of content, you will be hard pressed to find any video, especially conveniently stream because the copyright enforcement is strong and active.
The porn industry knows what they're doing, it's like a drug, you give a taste and many turn into customers that want more and more.
Underexposed post. Very good analysis and strategy to systemically dismantle this degeneracy.
Take away the profit and you kill an industry.
Per usual uploads allowed, downloads no.
AKA mission creep
I have to wonder if UT isn't being used to test that method of boiling the frog.
