Covid scaremongering is dying down because the u.s. state department, pentagon, and whitehouse are preparing to go war "against" china in Taiwan. They have to make the public believe covid is "no longer deadly" or "manageable". They will go with the variant story. It will go something like "surprisingly new variant is spreading. It seems to be far more mild than even the flu, and shockingly, seems to vaccinate the public against new, deadlier strains."

This is because they intend to issue a draft any time between now and the next four months. And much of the public will use "fear of covid" and resistance to mandatory jabs, as reason to resist the draft.

So they have to wind down covid now if they intend to have a draft and a war with china.

Maybe we go to war with China but right now they have their man in the White House so there is no need. War with China would be a good thing for the USA which is another reason I don't see it happening soon.

I also don't see that happening. What I see is more places going to "covid passports" and more freedoms being removed from the people. I guess we will have to wait and see what actually happens, though. ;)

If China takes Taiwan quickly and the US admits defeat, China gets the economic output of Taiwan. The coof narrative will continue as the media is already blaming China. Biden falling on his sword is an act. Old white men out, brown woman in. The American empire is over. Time to manage the decline as Barry Obongo would say, with new, wiser brown female leadership.

It is the heart of the worldwide electronics industry so what's at stake is far more than just mere economic output.

Absolutely they need the advanced tools and processes that they couldn't engineer or reverse engineer domestically.

No, I think theres sufficient popular dissatisfaction in both nations to risk real backlashes.

War with China would be a good thing for the USA which is another reason I don't see it happening soon.

It would also be good for china. Chinese have their just cause "u.s. userping taiwan, blaming us for covid", and the u.s. has a cause for war too, china encroaching on taiwan, and china supposedly causing covid to collapse the economies of other nations like the u.s.

What I see is more places going to "covid passports" and more freedoms being removed from the people.

I see that too. I don't see it as mutually exclusive though. Theres no reason less freedoms/covid passports/more tyranny is the alternative to a war. In fact, if anything, further tyranny and lockdowns woul be cause for the u.s. to go to war, because there would be all the more need for a distraction and excuse for power grabs.

And we both agree theres going to be more power grabs (even if we happen to see a brief -1-3 month walk-back of all these overreaches). It will get worse. We both agree on that.

So the real question is, why wouldn't they go to war when it serves the interests of both nations occupation governments? And when both populations could very easily be at war with their governments if things get worse?
