Hard times create strong men.

You're just getting stronger.

Sorry to bother but can we put the up and down arrows side by side, I keep fat fingering the wrong ones on mobile. Also I agree with the above said stuff. He just needs to get over the hump.

And you need to get on a threadmill.

I wish someone could verify it. I don't trust my own evaluation

If I could, I would challenge you to a friendly (not to the death) gladiator fight.

The world is what you make of it. You have the power, you just need to learn how to tap it.

That's what she said... I'll see myself out now.

It's the new normal. Caused by global warming. The best you can do is read lots of Poal.

Give cheesecake a chance.

Too many calories

Stop fixating on calories. Eat real food 99% of the time, no processed a anything and you won’t be fat. There weren’t fat people before modern processed foods, the fattest man in the world was like 250 in carnivals.

Our food products used to be different before modern agriculture took over. Food crops and livestock are more energy/calorie dense now than 100 years ago because of hormones, disease management, selective breeding/speciation, fertilizers/feed and other changes we made to agricultural production. It doesn't take processed foods to be the sole culprit here when the components of the modern diet have increased in caloric content by upwards of 500%.

People weren't morbidly obese 100 years ago because their diet was extremely limited, less energy dense and they did a lot more manual labor and less eating overall. In some cases people were actually malnutritioned from all those factors combined. Sure processed foods are bad, but we can't lay the problem solely on just that one cause. Lifestyles have changed to be high stress, low sleep, sugar-boosted and caffeine fueled in order to keep up. Those play a huge role in the problem that didn't exist prior to the modern times. It's complicated.

I'm losing weight at the moment. I've lost 5# per week for 2 weeks by CICO so this is bad advice

You may want to indulge in a pastry once a week.

You need to take another look at your mental state if you hate everything. Do the things you love. Some people put seeking the $ at the bottom of their list. It won't make you happy it just make things easier and easy isn't necessarily good for you.

I do what I love! Gardening, reading, hiking, camping... Nothing helps

OK.. So your physical and mental state is solid, what about spiritual state? Maybe look in that direction.

You're a sinner is why.

Sola fide

You may have improved yourself physically and mentally, but you haven't improved yourself spiritually.

Go on the keto diet, get some more sleep and maybe you'll feel better.

If you live in a shithole or a shitty neighborhood, go to a museum and look at some pretty things.

Take a break if you need it.

Have you taken a walk in nature recently. I mean proper nature, old trees, water flowing, no fucking internet. It will help you feel better.

Why are you miserable? I'm usually somewhere between miserable and apoplectic, because I see monumental fuckery going on all the time. It pisses me off. Seeing people who are victims of horrendous acts by criminals or their governments (though I repeat myself) and seeing those same criminals get away scot free hits at my desire to see justice done, it's maddening and it's everywhere. The whole world seems to be corrupted to the core. I feel a sense that a period of great upheaval and suffering is approaching. Is this different to anyone else living at any other time? Fucked if I know. Maybe every generation feels like some great upheaval is just over the horizon. But, I find getting out into proper nature can help to diffuse some of the pent up rage that is in me.

Another option could be breathing techniques, not sure if it's gimmicky shit or for real, but Wim Hof has breathing techniques that can help with stress, etc. Or you could try ice baths or some of that other shit. Does it work? Fucked if I know, haven't tried it. But those sort of things might help. It's not very likely to be some sort of scam because you're not buying something from them, just changing your own behavior. This sort of shit doesn't make you forget about your underlying issues though, but helps you to think more clearly and calmly, so it sounds useful to me. I'd probably do some of it if I wasn't so prone to procrastination.
