My question is how will it look when the Sun starts to go down, will the eclipse become larger and larger?

Why is such a big stink being made?

We have eclipses regularly. I was digging around for masking tape a week ago and found some cheap paper glasses from the last one. I remember the whole school going outside to see Haley's Comet as a kid. The doom saying is so odd.

Apparently the sun will be more active that usual during an eclipse, and its the last one North America will see for twenty years. At the rate society in general is going, a lot of people may not see another twenty years. I guess that explains the hype.

But I'm not asking about the doom, I'm asking about will it stretch out in the sky because it's on the horizon? I figured someone on here is a scientist.

Yeah I know. I'm just wondering why it is a big deal this time around.

I have no idea how that stuff works, unfortunately. I have a hard time trusting any 'science' anyone tells me anymore without seeing it myself. Seeing the moon during the day makes it feel like something they told me in school is bull.

I don't think it is any different than the one in 17 or the one that happened this past October. I think people just like seeing shit they don't see all the time. I think there's a planetary alignment and some comet that is going to be supposedly visible. All the doomsayers are just fucking retards. so I hold that shit with a grain of salt.

The next one after this won't be until August of 2044. (in the US)
