I appreciate the deep meditation on this. To confirm a few things:
I cannot claim to have any real undrestanding of the bible compared to Christians. I concede that.
I appreciate the details that I was not aware of.
I am an atheist. Honestly, we have done far more to destroy our own civilization than Christians even if you were to accept the dark ages were Christian smothering innovation (which it was not).
I accept the critique of my ignorance.
I was mostly commenting on the allegorical inversion that seems at the root of the story as it appears to me.
Over time I shall learn more.
