Tell you right now one (of many) reasons i cant buy into christianity in full is the turn the other cheek business. If you keep tolerating abuse you will be continually abused. If thats what god wants me to do he will be sorely dissappointed.

Lots of good ideas in the bible. Also a lot of things that seem like jewish tricks to me.

Jesus also said explicitly buy a sword and use it defend yourself from persecution.

Turn the other cheek is meant to mean not to escalate a situation with those who intentionally provoke you, practical advice, if someone can get away with slapping you in public it's likely that they could get away with killing you if you do the same to them, which would have been true in rome or judea in those times, if you turn the other cheek it shows them your resilience to their taunts and if law does exist in your parts creates the opportunity for more witnesses or even intervention of law, a slap on the cheek is something you can invite and survive, potentially even benefit from, a maliciously violent and pervasive political and religious persecution requires a sword which Jesus advises.

Despite what faggot judaiesers might have told you growing up, excessive tolerance is a hateful sin, and the Lord wasn't pacifist who refused to use force to set wrongs right.

Further Jesus and his disciples literally lived in a commune, this was not advocacy for the economic forms of a nation this was a framework for a religious commune. note the root word of communism is? Commune. if you have a coherent monoculture in a small group communal living is highly efficient, especially if you have a mission or directive.

The Bible explicitly warns of judaisers who manipulate The Word and the faithful for the benefit of those who claim to be God's chosen but are not or are no longer or simply have difficulty letting old practices fall away.

Excellent comment and accurate. Good job.

Eloquently explained. I agree.

Jesus died a virgin. Childless. Sacrificed himself to save the souls of others.

Muhammed was a warlord with many children.

Moslems, like their prophet, are fertile and aggressive.

Christians, like their prophet, are not having enough children and sacrifice themselves for the benefit of others.

Jesus rose from the grave, documented by over 500 people, including accounts of his resurrection in Roman documents and Jewish Talmud, in addition to the 4 gospels.

Mohammed is still dead.

Jesus died a virgin. Childless. Sacrificed himself to save the souls of others.

Actually, the Church says that. Evidence says otherwise. Either case, we don't know if he was a virgin and there really isn't any reason to believe he was.

"Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

From the same chapter: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword"

"Let he who does not own a sword sell his cloak and buy one."

As you Jews do, you use it out of context. It means love your fellow Christian and don't needlessly start shit. Be peaceful. But, own a sword because defense and war with people who would abuse and harm Christians is also required.

The bible has plenty accounts of Israelites and Hebrews warring, conquering, and defending themselves. Only Jews and those controlled by Jews push much of the contrary BS posted here.

He never said to use it, if you read.

It doesn't mean exactly what you think it means, because the context has been stripped.

But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

So the big point here is right cheek. That means someone backhanded you. You square your shoulders to them and say, "no, slap me like a man." A backhand is about the insult, not the hit.

If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.

You had legal rights to your cloak. It kept you alive and it was your bed. In 1st century Judea, a debtor could take your tunic and that was that. If he took your cloak, though, you had the right to get it back each night to sleep in. Jesus is saying, "make him look you in the eye, every night, and had that tunic back to you, night after night, and make you hand it back to him, morning after morning."

And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

This is about Roman soldiers. When Roman soldiers were on the march, if they saw someone on the side of the road, they could make them carry their pack for exactly one mile. Jesus is saying, if a solders makes you carry his pack for a mile, carry it for two. It's about human nature. He thinks he has a right to that first mile, but he'll start feeling like a shithead when you keep going and won't give his pack back.

It's about not letting people treat you like shit. You don't fight back directly (they killed people for that then) but by being a shitlord, and making them acknowledge that they are being shitty to you.

add the word "slave" to the end of each of those commands and you're spot on with the programming behind Christian doctrine lol

We are all slaves to something or someone. You are a slave to sin; I am a slave of Christ Jesus.

Right, because your porn and drugs will set you free.

Except that's not communism, it's charity and socialism. OP is a giant dumb fag, as is all who agree with him or use this lie as a springboard. And yes, it's better than the kind of socialism the natsos love and pushed by hitler. Only it's not stolen by the state, making it moral. If you have issue with this, then you are a hypocrite if you worship hitler. And just like that we identified hypocritical idiots here.

Reading the comments is a sea of Jewish revisionism. So many here still controlled and programmed by Jews and so dumb they believe otherwise. Many controlled by Jews are some of the most verbose and long term accounts here. Sadly comical.

It's the comedy of the stupid and hypocritical. Lol. Insane.

A recurring theme in the Bible is dependence on God for your needs. Jesus taught that love and forgiveness are His ways, and that those who followed Him should strive to be like Him.

Jesus knew the whole wronging and revenge cycle is endless. Someone has to say “It’s not worth it. Get along! Love one another as I have loved you.”

I will not wait for god to protect me or solve my problems.

Good. That means you agree with what the bible actually says.

Blessed be the LORD my rock, who trains my hands for battle

You can't "buy into" Christianity because you don't want to humble yourself before a holy God.

Turning the other cheek isn't about physical abuse; it's about an insult.

God set the example for humility, for being a suffering servant, through the incarnation of Jesus. Read Philippians chapter 2. Or don't... sounds like you've got it figured out already.

Its not my personality type to believe things with no evidence.

Indeed! It is your personality type to believe things CONTRARY to the evidence. I'm tempted to ask what evidence you want, but you've surely seen it all before.

Either way, maybe check out Lee Strobel's material ("Evidence That Demands a Verdict", etc.) or "Cold Case Christianity"

Probably a waste of time suggesting it, but you can't really believe that there is NO evidence of, say, a creator.
