All the problems, the expensive batteries, the need for an upgraded grid, the problem of how to generate all the extra power are all part of the plan. They want to hold electric cars out as the solution while they pass all these laws to massively restrict regular cars. Then once all the laws are passed and cars have become so expensive that no one can afford them they will roll out their plans to have us live in small concentrated urban areas, forbidden to travel between because virus. It's all part of a long term plan to make us peasants again.

Through regulation they'll make both so expensive to own that the average person will use their self-driving electric cars as a service. In the future you will own nothing and you will be happy.

[–] 4 pts (edited )

That's weird because currently electric cars cost less to operate per mile than gasoline cars, even when you count having to replace the battery every 200,000 miles or so.

A $35,000 electric car in expensive California uses about $4,250 worth of electricity to drive 100,000 miles. A gas car would require over $13,000 in gas to drive the same distance. The gas car also needs oil changes and regular service that the electric car doesn't need. If the oil and service costs $150 every 5,000 miles it's another $3,000 for the gas car. That puts you at $12,000 more to operate the gas car for 100,000 miles.

[–] 11 pts

>$4250 worth of electricity

When it's only a handful of people using the electricity to charge cars. They're proposing that they'll add tens of millions of electric cars. At the same time they are closing power plants and regulating coal to the point it'll be unusable. So a massive demand in electricity at the same time we have a dropoff in production will spike the price. They know this. They planned this.

[–] 4 pts

They are also killing nuclear generating plants.

[–] 1 pt

It will have to quadruple just to cost the same as gas.

Efficient solar panels would ready fuck up their plan.

[–] 1 pt

They know this. They planned this.

You give them too much credit.

[–] 0 pt

And then you have more fun times like when texans got gaped by their electricity providers.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Ok wise guy, deducts the state and federal subsidies on those electric cars and add in the disposal fees for those toxic waste batteries and get back to me.

[–] 4 pts

It’s almost free! Plus, recharging a car from the power generated from fields of lollipops and jellybeans feels really good.

[–] 1 pt (edited )

I'm not counting the incentives. In California the incentives add another $11,000 to the deal. The incentives often make the electric car cheaper than the gas car right off the lot. There is no fee to dispose of the battery. They are recycled the same as when you get a new 12V battery for your regular car.

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

Without taxes the cost of gas would be half of what it is now, depending on the state. They'll find a way to tax electric cars to make them prohibitively expensive for the average person once they kill off cars that have an internal combustion engine.

Then E-lon flips the double-secret kill switch and all the e-cars go rogue and run off of a cliff.

Bang!

Population control 2.0 blamed on a glitch.

E-lon told me as much over an eight ball of cocaine.

....or not.

If you think only electric cars phone home, I've got news for you. That shit started with GM gas cars in the '90s.

Idyllic. Until you take into account the fact that electric cars cost much more than you said. Do not save on carbon until 80,000 miles. And they cant keep the lights on in commiefornia now!

Idyllic. Until you take into account the fact that electric cars cost much more than you said.

Current electric vehicle prices are:

  • Chevy Bolt: $31,772 - $7500 Federal tax rebate - $2,000 California CVRP - $1500 California Clean Fuel Reward = $20,772
  • Nissan Leaf S+: $31,328 - $7500 Federal tax rebate - $2,000 California CVRP - $1500 California Clean Fuel Reward = $20,328
  • Toyota Prius Prime: $25,931 - $4,501 Federal tax rebate - $900 California Clean Fuel Reward = $20,530
  • Honda Clarity: $30,957 - $7500 Federal tax rebate - $1,000 California CVRP - $1,500 California Clean Fuel Reward = $20,957

That's just some of the available electric cars.A brand new car that has 1/4 the operating costs and costs less than a gas car? Yes, thank you. The plug-in hybrids are even better because you can run on gas, too.

You imagine you see them all over the place because people are retarded when the real reason is that some people understand math.

[–] 0 pt

Just watch the electricity prices.

We were at 3 cents in 2000.

We are at 17.5 cents today.

600% inflation over 20 years.

Electric car is not much good without electricity.

The good news is you can make your own electricity.

You may well have to.

[–] 0 pt (edited )

We were at 3 cents in 2000.

Nope. I keep all my electric bills. We were at 10.3 cents in 2000. That's a 70% increase over 20 years, or 2.69% per year. That's just standard inflation.

[–] 2 pts

Have you tried not being poor yet?

Have you tried not being a jew?

[–] 1 pt

You act like not being poor can only done by people who you (ik going out on a limb here) think is weaker than you. Stop looking so helpless and confused.

In mother Russia electric car owns.......huh.

Burty gut take. There's more uses for this plan though. Off the top of my head you missed: Their ability to lock the doors and auto drive you to the gulag when you thought you were heading to the store or just drive you into a tree if that is deemed more expedient.

Clearly you know nothing about cars and how cars equipped with 4G LTE can have their CANBUS hijacked to do this already, if they really wanted to do this, they would have started yesterday, electric cars aren't needed for this to happen.

I like to assume things and then act upon my assumptions as if they were real. Derp!

Well isn't that special. I never said it wasn't a possibility already. Apt name choice, by the way. It fits you perfectly.

That scene from Minority Report is burned into my mind Actually a lot of things from that movie are burned into my mind

In case of commies, give me a lil spinny whirly shockwave shotgun and I'm SET 🙏

Minority Report

I've never seen that one. I'll have to check it out.

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

Don't bother. It's about a nigglet who has to bring his report card home, but nobody is there to scold him for failing all his classes.

[–] 1 pt

It's based on a Phillip K Dick short story. He is an interesting guy, worth looking into his personal story and also reading his work if you don't know him.

[–] [deleted] 1 pt (edited )

WHAT

That movie is fucking gold It's basically about government abuse, a failed drug war, and an attempt to build a "precrime" unit in the PD that arrests people before they've committed the crime.... The entire movie hinges around our hero cops name suddenly popping up in precrime as a future murderer ;)

although every fucking year that goes by I hauntingly await ads in public to start calling me by my name :(((

The movie got too many things right and is a warning before it's entertaining!

Philadelphia’s $24 million electric bus fleet is parked. Huge batteries are cracking the chassis and the batteries don’t last long enough.

[–] 4 pts

The funniest tech though is solar panels. The inverters don't work when the power goes down. Of course, few people have the batteries to store the energy because they were lied to about the technology. Yea, the batteries you need are fucking expensive compared to the solar panels.

Urban sprawl is unsustainable. There is no industry in the suburbs. The larger they grow, the farther and farther away they are from industry. Strip malls, mini marts, hospitals and fast food aren't industry. They don't produce anything that goes outside the community. Their only source of income is the community. In order to fund a city, you need manufacturing, food production or something that can be exported outside the community.

Urban sprawl creates thousands of miles of roads, sewers and all sorts of services that have to be maintained. The more the sprawl, the greater the cost to maintain. Eventually the urban areas decay as more and more of the money generated is used to cover the costs of the sprawl. The cities rot from within. Urbanites aren't going to vote to fix the city before their own neighborhoods. Once the rot becomes to much in the urban area, industries start to leave like dominoes. The decay eventually spreads out to the suburbs and the end game is what happened to Detroit where you can buy an entire block with houses for $1.

Once the niggers in the city burn down the city because the city is a rotting shithole, they start attacking the suburbs, which itself creates even more sprawl as people continually try to get away from the niggers. I don't know how this all ends, as what happened to Detroit is happening almost everywhere across the country now. My guess is that's why they started calling the seasonal flu covid. I don't think the masks or even the injections are going to kill us. I think it's all a cover for when they do start exterminating us and they need a reasonable explanation on why millions of people are suddenly dying. My guess is they'll get us through the water supply, seems to be their typical method of operation for the well poisoners of the middle ages, aka the black plague.

You are correct in saying that electric cars will fail, as a legislated form of transportation. It's quite easy to predict this. Whether liberals grasp this fact is another matter -- liberals are self-deluded. They are driven by what they think should be, instead of the reality of what is. They think electric cars should succeed, because of the misinformation they have received about them. The truth is, electric cars don't even make sense. They are not the best option for most uses.

[–] 1 pt

Modern cars are much more likely to have their electric doors fail that older ones, this is a well documented problem for modern EVs. Many examples of people having to break windows of the electric cars to get out of them after an accident.

Electric cars are more likely to catch on fire, and these fires are harder to put out. Electric cars are generally safer than combustion engine cars due to their weight and rigidity, but in this specific instance, they're much more lethal.

EV manufacturers are hyping up unbreakable windows, like Teslas cybertruck.

Modern vehicles are easily hijacked, proven by conventions for hackers and security experts. Every modern car on the market, no exceptions.

Governments are going out of their way to get rid of old cars (mechanical) and replacing them with new EV cars (digital, always connected).

Add self-driving to the mix and you could potentially have the most efficient system for untraceable murder ever devised.

Fun thought experiment.

[–] 1 pt

For electric clown cars to replace gas cars, we would need to build 9000 charging stations, and totally redesign the electrical grid. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.

Homesteading it is.

Also buy more ammo.

An electric car requires 30 kwhrs to go 100 miles. My 8.5kwhr solar panels produce 40 kwhrs on a sunny summer day. Central ac uses around 20 kwhrs a day. I drive less than 100 miles a week. People charge at night when energy usage is at its lowest.

[–] 0 pt

>People charge at night when energy use is at it's lowest.

Again, this is only due to a few people having electric cars. If everyone had electric cars and were all charging them at night then night time would become peak time.
