Ok, so they get the cows pregnant, half of them will calve males. What happens to the male calfs?
No matter what way you cut it, that's a LOT of male offspring that aren't producing anything for the farm, so they're gonna end up in a burger. Can't have milk without killing cattle.
Well you could throw them out in the wild to die, but what's the point in that, you might as well eat them.
Well, if I asked you whether you'd prefer to be sent on a camping trip or slaughtered, which would you pick?
I'm addressing the OP's claim that cattle aren't killed to produce milk, they are.
Been doing more hunting around and there's plenty of farms that don't even take the calves away, but charge more.
And to appease people like this there's also farms that just straight up inject cows with hormones to produce milk even if they haven't given birth.
Seems to be a mixed bag of ethics.
