Rolexes are alright and all, but they're really not the watch of the Aristocracy---even if you have their Day/Date in Platinum which is probably like $70K itself. I mean, a lot of successful plumbers and UPS drivers own Rolexes. Rolex basically says that you're one of the larger, more self-sufficient animals at the front of the herd. No, aside from a Patek Philippe, nothing quite says "Not only am I tasteful, but I have the money to buy and sell your country's prosecutors and politicians and am fully able to genocide a small country if I so desired", than owning a nice Lange. An uppity peasant like me could only dream of owning one of those, so I will likely settle for something that is roughly about 85% as good, only $10K and also German-engineered and similar in appearance: The Glasshutte:

If I was going to drop 10k on a watch it would be a breitling Bentley automatic.

If I was going to drop 100k on a watch it would probably be a custom piece from a living master watchmaker. For that kind of money I wouldn't want a Patek. Fuck Patek. I'd want a me watch. That's a fuckin house.

I don't like Patek, myselt. They're usually too small and if the case size isn't too small, they're too dainty. I'm a big goon, so I need something a little more robust. If I had $100K, I'd get a Day/Date 41 in Platinum or I'd get myself that Lange or even better: a McGonagle! I generally only like Navitimers, as far as Breitlings go.

McGonagle is who I was thinking of if I was to get a custom piece I've cause I suddenly became retarded with my money and retardedly wealthy enough to be retarded with my money

It really doesn't take much money to buy and sell politicians these days. You can have your own for well under $20k if you shop around.

I always said that NYC Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa could be bought for as little $50K and two steady whores. IF he got those things, he's erect a statue of Mao Zedong in Times Square. Eric Adams is corrupt, as well, but Sliwa would have sold us out 100x faster and more intensely.

I'm really surprised it costs that much, but I guess everything is more expensive in NYC, right?

$20K is nothing, though. That’s not even a car. I feel like $50K is more for a mid-sized city like Tampa, Tulsa, Minneapolis or Indianapolis. I think a huge city like NYC would command at least $200K on bribes for major policy change. The last Mayor was able to steal at least $850MILLION

10k for a watch??

When you don't spend money on drugs, booze, bitches, child support, court restitution, student loans, rent or car maintenance, you can afford a hobby or two. Right now, I'm wearing a $15K watch, and, while my job pays much better than minimum wage, ti is still not a "good" or "career" job. I avoided traps all of my life and now I am slowly enjoying the second half.

I'd like to have a Piaget Polo S - It's a rose gold chronograph and can be had for a mere $25,500,

This one is damn sharp. Move over cheap Bulova Marine Star, you've been demoted to penultimate, we now have a new #1.

Can't say I've ever once really looked at another man's watch, or even noticed what brand they're wearing. I also tend to be oblivious to obvious social cues until someone points it out to me (oooohhhh.... well shit...), maybe it's part the same thing going on in my head. Unless of course it was one of the pics you posted.

Gay way to spend money, but it's your money.

Can Anyone Spare $60K?

I can spare it, but I wouldn't spend it on a watch.
