i was rooting for your Jag, but I dunno if you're ever gonna fix it.
And, yeah... It seems to me that if I want fun in the Rover 110, I have to do it properly. I should fill it full of people and drive it across unfinished surfaces, crawling through trails, and conquering obstacles.
Otherwise, it's really not that fun to drive. The thing is not all that keen on changing direction at speed. And 'speed' is relative. I think it needs new springs, which have to be custom made 'cause I'm not gonna find any in good condition anywhere close to local. They're not too expensive to have 'em made for you.
There's a lot of corners where I live. It's fun to drive through the village. You sit way up high and you're sitting on the front tires. It's weird and kinda scary.
I'm driving it at the wrong time of the year. You'd think it'd be a winter thing, but it's not.
What I should do is take it to the bar (in warm weather) and fill it up with drunk people. Then, I can drive 'em through the woods, up and down mountains! We could go on a merry journey through the dirt roads, unimproved roads, logging trails, etc...
Did you expect it to have more power?
No, not really. It should handle a bit better, but it's never gonna be good at cornering. I came up through the steepest twisties today. I spent most of my time at 35ish MPH.
On the positive side, I had a whole parade of people behind me for a while. I got out of their way and let them pass as soon as was reasonable and I got a bunch of people waving as they passed me.
The engine doesn't lke to rev more than 3200 or so. I think it'd fall apart at 4500 RPM.
It has good engine braking.
I can find something positive to say about pretty much any vehicle.
Good for going down the mountain roads
