Nah. She was always trying to keep me from doing ridiculous stuff. It's funny. She was a regular customer at my teenage drive in job. Year or two older than me. Obviously each had a crush on each other, but I had a girlfriend. Re met years later. Didn't realize it at first, but knew she looked familiar. Would quote this movie to her, once we watched it... Shame, she was a little too flighty, so I broke it off... Still kinda miss her.
I too had crushes that lasted for years. But, one day, I stopped thinking of them. Something in me changed. It may be like that for you too eventually.
I've had another one that got away.. a car accident didn't help, in a mass miscommunication. Took a while to get her off my mind... Before that it was always one of us in a relationship, trying to chase each other... Better off in the long run. Now I'm comfortably numb alone, and given current social conditions, cynical towards the dating scene, especially cause I hate online dating, being tortured by a long distance relationship went wrong as a young teenager, and that was in the Christian community, yet she knew a lot of my IRL friends. Blackmail basically. So maybe I've never been fully comfortable or trusting. A few good relationships, but I always want out. Surprised I get along great with women actually, even in a Friend sense, considering other things from younger...
I know what you mean. It always seemed like the timing was off in many of my relationships. I was foot loose and fancy free.
Now, i rather like my alone time. I guess I always did. Was always fiercely independent.Traveled the world and wouldn't let anyone hold me back.
As far as trusting others, I do understand what you mean though. I don't like drama. I like peace of mind.
Unfortunately. These girls were abused themselves, and so they abused me. But you don't know what's going on at 7 years old. They may have been pretty, but it still fucks any person up. Thankfully, I haven't been turned into one of them
That's good that they didn't mess you up. I always seemed to attract the narcissistic types when younger. Luckily, they didn't fuck me up either though they did mess with my head occasionally.
