Elaine Marie Thomas, 67, of Auburn, Washington, was the director of metallurgy at a foundry in Tacoma that supplied steel castings used by Navy contractors Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding to make submarine hulls. From 1985 through 2017, Thomas falsified the results of strength and toughness tests for at least 240 productions of steel — about half the steel the foundry produced for the Navy, according to her plea agreement, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Tacoma. The tests were intended to show that the steel would not fail in a collision or in certain “wartime scenarios," the Justice Department said.

She's a hambeast to boot.

For putting thousands of sailors at risk due to stupidity, she deserves the death penalty. To make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm sick of idiots that get promoted to positions beyond their ability not being held liable for their poor decisions.

[–] 16 pts

This sounds like deliberate fraud to me. She probably was getting money under the table to fake her reports. I doubt it was just a poor decision.

[–] 17 pts

32 years worth of fake reports? Not just the occasional screwup?

Yeah, that's deliberate to a huge degree.

[–] 8 pts

is there any direct monetary value to doing that? does it save the company money?

because if its not about money directly its about undermining the navy.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

She put more than the lives of sailors at risk, our submarines often travel underneath the pack ice at the Pole, and are part of our nuclear troika, so this could have cost us our edge in any nuclear exchange down the line.

[–] 1 pt

"Our" - it's not ours at all, dude. It's the government's. You talk like a normie

And you talk like a traitor.

[–] 0 pt

The (((government's)))

[–] 1 pt

You mean Israel's edge.

[–] 1 pt

Perhaps she did this for Israel's edge.

[–] 0 pt

so their not really ours then are they

They're ours in two ways: First, in the sense that they do not belong to the enemy that will in that exchange be trying his best to wipe you and your family out of existence forever, and second because you and I helped pay for it to be built.

[–] 4 pts

Why are you trying to protect the military? You do realize that eventually, they're the one who will be occupying the streets, going door to door to enforce the agenda of the NWO, right? The government is your enemy, not your friend, dude.

[–] 1 pt

Fraud is fraud, and it's not like the other military this one will be fighting against has our interests in mind, either.

[–] 0 pt

To what "other" military are you referring? Do you think I'm choosing one government over another? I oppose them all. They are all in league with the Great Reset / NWO agenda anyway, or competing against them to impose their own nearly identical systems.

[–] 1 pt

they're the one who will be occupying the streets

There is not enough military + cops + Fed Agents to patrol every street in America.

Don't worry.

[–] 0 pt

They don't need to patrol every street. They just need to do 2am raids in random areas to scare enough people into compliance. They'll have willingly accomplices among the citizenry, jumping at the chance to report on their neighbors. We've observed this already during the scamdemic, when Karens called their local governments to report businesses not requiring masks or checking vaccine passports.

There are enough federal and state agents to keep the people in line. They are doing so in Australia right now.

Guaranteed a diversity hire. How the hell did a female metallurgist do this for "decades"?

[–] 2 pts

I agree and was thinking the same.

[–] 2 pts

There's a reason certain people get promoted over others.

[–] [deleted] 10 pts

However, the Justice Department said it would recommend a prison term at the low end of whatever the court determines is the standard sentencing range in her case.

More like it's the standard pussy pass.

[–] 4 pts

This time line is so fucking stupid. I picked a great time to get out ofthe Navy, and it as August of 2011 when DADT was getting repealed. They were having GMTs about civil unions. Fuck those faggots.

[–] 4 pts

Death penalty warranted.

[–] 4 pts

Give her the death penalty this is treason

[–] 4 pts

Execute this bitch

[–] 1 pt

All she faces is 10 years and a 1 million dollar fine.

Unfuckingbelievable.

[–] 3 pts

Pussy PASS.

[–] 2 pts

If you look her picture up she looks like Shrek.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Her scheme imploded when her designated replacement noticed that her test records seemed suspicious.

[–] 3 pts

TREASON = DEATH!!!!!!

[–] 3 pts

How come she's not court martialed, charged with treason?

Intentional fraudulent testing of military equipment, surely must be adequite for a court martial?!

The fine is ridiculous too and must be indicating that they have no intention of any degree of serious examination of the elements she "tested"..

[–] 2 pts

Probably because a court martial is only for military personnel, not civilians.

Treason, sure (as this definitely could give aid to any current or future enemy), but civilians cannot be subject to a court martial. It would have to go through a normal court.

[–] 1 pt

You're probably right, although civillians have historically been court martialed numerous times, in several (western) countries.

It likely requires extraordinary circumstances, such as "times of war" (or aftermath), a "illegal combattant"-predicate or simply ignoring conventions..

It sounds very lenient and inconsequencial.. maybe she's friend of the Clintons or a $$$ecret jew?

[–] 2 pts (edited )

Technically if any of the subs she did this to sunk while on patrol because of the inferior fuselage and Navy servicemen died isn't that gross misconduct, manslaughter or negligence causing death? Also isn't it fraud and/or sabatoge of Navy equipment too?
